Ana is a singer who lives in the city and has not yet dared to confess her true profession to her uncle Cristóbal, the priest, until she decides to go to town to see him. But she cannot avoid falling in love with Martín, the young priest, with ideas opposite to those of his uncle the priest, since his other uncle, Abilio, the banker (twin brother of the previous one), has to suffer enough from the fasts imposed by his blessed wife, Dona Casilda. Finally, Ana and Martín, who hangs up his cassock, break with the rigors and taboos and go together to try to be happy.
